Testimony of the last day
Hearing God´s voice is not always obvious but this testimony sheds a quite different light and there seems to be some insistence. Please let me know what you people think.
Sunday May 6th - My husband and I attend a service in a neighbouring city and our pastor friend announces that he is going full-time and this is his last day as a part-time pastor.
Monday May 7th - In the afternoon I go and visit my mother in the special needs home where she is staying. We go to the reception area to look at the fish in the tank as I hear the receptionist telling someone that today is the last day on the job. As of tomorrow she´ll be working somewhere else.
Tuesday May 8th - My son and I are on a short trip to France. We took the plane to Marseille the previous evening and as we were circling above the city I saw a beautiful building on a hill. We decide to go there today, it´s a catholic church and we enter together with many other tourists. Much to my surprise the chaplain is sitting in an office with the door open to the public for confession, prayer and consultation. I decide to go and talk to him (I speak French). We have a very lively conversation about the state of affairs with God in France and he reads Psalm 40 for me and then asks me to pray after he has finished praying. I pray for the city of Marseille and commend it into the able hands of the Lord. Much to my surprise he finishes with the Lord´s prayer in English. He then starts talking about his office and says that today is his last day in this office because tomorrow they will start redecorating it.
Wednesday 9th May - On the news they announce that it is the last day for former President Jacques Chirac and that his successor Nicholas Sarkozy is taking over from tomorrow.
Thursday 10th May - Prime minister Tony Blair announces that after 10 years of government, his last day will be on June 27th.
Friday 11th May - My son and I return back home after a short but lovely holiday and my husband announces that today his job is ending, they don´t need him anymore.
My husband has been praying to go into full-time pastoring for quite some time now but never heard the Lord tell him anything.
Were we deaf before? Is this testimony convincing enough?
Have any of you experiences like this one where God painstakingly gets a message through to his people?
