Renewing Commitments and slashing Compromises

Dear partner in the Kingdom,

We hope you had a fun time with your family this season and that you will have a good year ahead of you. God's heart is that you prosper in the midst of crisis and that your light will shine more and more brightly in this world.

With the new year approaching I wanted to encourage you with a simple message from the heart. I believe many will be searching for some form of security these days, after having lost so much of their savings or what they had invested in stocks. We live in a time where everything that seemed firm and unshakable is shaking right now. It's not just happening on a local or regional scale, but worldwide. It is actually what the Lord has announced through some of His prophets, so you have to know that God is in control.

Crisis
The word 'crisis' signifies a 'judgment' in greek. The Chinese write the word crisis with two characters, on of which means danger and the other opportunity. — Milo Perkins.
A measuring line was drawn and the "walls and foundations that men build" were tested, causing many 'buildings' to crash.

Compromises
In this time which we live in, compromises are being challenged and exposed for what they truly are:

"A settlement of differences through mutual concession"
"To make a concession, go fifty-fifty, to expose to possible loss or damage..."

This reminds me of the toes of the statue of king Nebukadnezar, worldleader in the time of Daniel. The toes were made of iron and clay. They are different in nature and they do NOT mix.

Are there any 'compromises' in your life, where you met someone half way, at the same time exposing yourself to a very dangerous situation, leaving a door open to the enemy...? Then this is the time to take care of those situations and close the door to the enemy of your soul.

Meeting each other half-way is only possible if both will still be in God's perfect plan, doing His will on a daily basis.
This is especially true when you work in or as a team or live as a married couple.

Let's get rid of everything that causes ungodly compromise.

Renewing Commitments
This is a great time to look at our commitments again, whether they are in marriage, ministry, friendships, financial agreements or business.

We only have a certain amount of time to do what we have been called to do and so lets make the most of it. Let us look again at the foundation of our commitments and see if they are still in place. Let us allow God our Father to shed more light on our daily habits which come forth out of our commitments and make the changes needed to become stronger and more fruitful in life.

Allow yourself some time to evaluate everything and listen to God, as you prepare for the year that is on our doorsteps.

I hope you will also pray for your brothers and sisters who are having a hard time transitioning in this season, especially those who lost their jobs. Let this be a time for the Joseph's to lose the one job so they can be shifted to a place of blessing, even to the point where they can bless a whole nation.

Wishing you a fruitful new year,

Tim Lit
