I just want to take this opportunity to tell you guys a bit about myself, since only a few really know me.

My name is Tim Lit, married to Tanja. Together we have 2 daughters and one son: 11, 8 and 2 1/2 years old.

I was born and raised in Suriname, South America, and became christian when I was about 15. I can tell you lots of jungle stories from those years :). At 19 we moved to the Netherlands where I studied at a bibleschool for 3 years, with lots of different experiences. All that time being busy with ministry (youth, prayerwalks, pastoral work, etc), I went into the computer programming world.

In the 90's God started to call me as prophet and started to train me, eventhough I had no clue how to walk as such. One book that impacted me in those years is called "Some said it thundered" (don't remember the writer) about the Kansas City prophets (Paul Cain, Bob Jones, etc).

Throughout the years God had given me strategic relationships, people who could help us with how to handle our visions, dreams and prophecies.

In 1999 God told me to go to the States and we did so in 2000 after having handing over the responsibility of the church to a dear man of God.

The website HouseofProphets.com started as a way to communicate with people of the Netherlands regarding our school of prophets. However, I believe God spoke to me through the life of Elisha regarding the "house of prophets" to provide a "home online" for prophets and the prophetic people.

That's how I decided to open the website to a prophetic and apostolic community, where members would take ownership of the site and come into a place of relationship, accountability, encouragement and growth. That's what my goal is for this portal.

One of my (previous) frustrations in the 90's was to have these revelations concerning nations and God dealing with them and not being able to warn them. Yes, there were the sites of "great men" but because they don't know you, will not be quick in posting your info.
So let this website be the start of getting to know each other and having the ability to post prophetic words about nations freely.

As soon as the software development allows me I will implement the changes so we can have closed discussions.

My appreciation goes out to those members who have a heart for God's people and are doing their best to contribute good content. There is no such thing as asking "wrong" questions which could be the reason for some of you to hold back. Don't worry: we are growing into a family where mistakes are likely to be made. It's the love for each other that covers all. :)
