I know some of you are on a break, or taking things easy around here. I think it's a positive thing, and I'm for giving space for the Lord to give inspiration. (In other words, this doesn't have to interrupt your time off :-)

I had the thought to post this because I sense something changing about the USA's economic situation, and I want to open a thread for the HoP about it.

I am not a doom-and-gloom guy in the least, in fact I tend to be suspicious of prophetic words that carry heavy-handed judgment messages. I firmly believe that God meters out judgment only for specific purposes, and to specific targets. That being said, my sense about the current economic situation of the USA is not a positive one. In fact, I've had a consistent awareness that things are not going to get better amid the current turmoil in the markets, contrary to my usual optimistic attitude. How much worse it can get I don't know, but I don't sense that it's going to get better anytime soon. I'm thinking that over the next couple years there could be some rocky times for the nation, economically. These are just impressions, though, and I would like to hear from others who may have sought out more from the Lord over this issue, especially if you disagree with me.

I do also sense that it's a necessary road for the nation, and that it comes for a specific purpose, perhaps cleansing or re-directing. I've not processed it out fully, so again, these are just impressions, and if someone else has put more time into this, it would be good to hear.
