Since summer last year (2003) God has been speaking about the need for the church to go into the secretplace of God. Lots of different ministers have picked up what the Spirit of God has been saying, but I don't think the church realized what God was intending to do...!

The Secret place
For a while now this has been laid in my spirit: the secret place, where God is! There is a scripture in the gospels where Jesus speaks about prayer and the reward the Father gives to those who walk with Him in the secret place! Many have forgotten what that is or it just slipped away from our attention. We really need to get a new personal revelation of what that is.

The very scripture that triggered this thought in me is where Jesus speaks about this: "...your Father who is in the secret place..." - Mat.6.6
Our Father IS in the secret places of our lives and His desire is to know us for who we really are. He wants to meet us in the place where we have no guards up because of others around us! It's the place where we let everything go because we don't have to BE someone or put up a mask or anything that could cause people to think less highly of us. That's why Jesus speaks about the secret place opposed to the hypocrites that want to be seen as someone, honored for it in public by people but in reality they are someone else. God says to break this lifestyle of being doubleminded.

Roots and Fruits
This is a root problem and God is a Specialist in dealing with the 'roots and fruits' in our lives. This doubleminded lifestyle is steered by a small rudder that is called 'fear of men'. This causes us to be busy with the 'things of men' rather then the things of God. And so through this we allowed a double standard in our life:
our 'public life' and our 'private life'.

Ofcourse there are things in our life that the general public has no business knowing: e.g. how much you earn or your relationship with your wife. But if we treat God the same way and keep certain areas away from Him, we are in a bad place. He knows us in the secret place.

Remember: the Secret Place is not a Quiet Place!
